Effective July 1, 2009, this course will be one day in length,

    As a professional communicator, you can't risk failing to get your message across - clearly, concisely, and quickly. Today's readers want (and must have) fast and concise answers; pages that can be skimmed, not waded; clear, crisp writing; and paragraphs jammed with solid information.
      This course will help you say what you want to say, with less difficulty and with more confidence, and help you get the results you want from everything you write.

       

        NOTE: This course covers the principles of Plain Talk. This course does not include a major emphasis on grammar and punctuation.

          Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

            • Write clearly, concisely, accurately, professionally.
            • Organize thoughts and material before writing.
            • Adapt writing to your audience.
            • Overcome "hang-ups" that result in stilted, ambiguous writing.
